Privacy Policy

We collect only what you choose to submit through our two forms, plus limited technical data used to keep the forms secure.

Caregiver application. If you apply to work with us, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, years of caregiving experience, certifications held (for example CNA, HHA, or First Aid), preferred availability, and any background or motivation you choose to write in the free-text field.

Care request. If you request care for yourself, a parent or relative, or someone else you are helping, we collect who the care is for, your name, email address, phone number, the ZIP code where care is needed, the daily needs and typical schedule you describe, and when care should start.

Technical data. We use Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible bot check, on our forms. It collects your IP address and device and browser information to tell people from automated programs. We do not use it, or anything else on this site, for advertising.

We use what you submit to:

• Respond to your care request and follow up about your needs, schedule, and timing
• Review caregiver applications and contact applicants about next steps, including our vetting and code-of-ethics standards
• Match families with caregivers whose experience, availability, and location fit
• Protect our forms and website from spam, abuse, and automated submissions
• Meet legal obligations and resolve disputes

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

We use a small number of service providers to run our forms and email. They process information only to provide their service to us.

Checks that form submissions come from real people, not bots

We may share the details of a care request with caregivers, and details of a caregiver application with families, only as needed to arrange care. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our clients, caregivers, or website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Our website does not use cookies, and we do not run analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking tools. Because we do not track you across sites, there is nothing to opt out of; if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we treat it the same as any other visit. The only background check on our site is the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check described above.

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to your request, consider your application, arrange care, or meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see your rights below).

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricting access to the people who need it. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email in particular is not always encrypted, which is another reason to keep sensitive details out of your messages.

If you live in California, you have the following rights under California privacy law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA). Residents of other states may have similar rights under their own laws, and we are glad to honor these requests from anyone in the United States.

• Know and access: ask what personal information we have collected about you, and for a copy of it
• Delete: ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you
• Correct: ask us to fix information that is inaccurate
• Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of
• No retaliation: we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights

To make a request, email help@fijianloveincaregivers.org from the address you used on the form. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we aim to respond within 45 days. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request for you.

Our website and forms are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13, or to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email help@fijianloveincaregivers.org and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
